What you will do…

Safety

  • Hold project team responsible for safety policies as defined in our employee handbook
  • Drive MKD Safety culture
  • Coordinate efforts with the Safety Department to ensure that site safety issues are being resolved

Directing Field Team

  • You will be responsible for regularly tracking performance in the following areas for projects that fall under your responsibility
  • Key Performance Indicators
  • Required Project Duties

Manpower Coordinator between departments

  • Weekly manpower coordination meetings to discuss needs for the upcoming week
  • Reviewing project difficulty ranking to determine and coordinate proper resource allocation

Project closeout

  • Attend project closeout meetings as frequently as possible
  • Ensure feedback is given on the performance of the project/individual team members at the end of each project

Training and development

  • Audit Site Manager’s performance regarding the training and development of their reports (on a bi-monthly basis)
  • Develop and communicate individual team member goals
  • Coach and guide senior level team members in application of training techniques
  • Develop training courses or programs as directed by the Division Manager (or above)
  • Lead/Conduct training courses for field personnel as directed by the Division Manager (or above)

Evaluation and reviews

  • Complete a minimum of one PBE (Project Based Evaluations) per site lead per month
  • Review PBEs with site lead upon completion, to track team member’s progress
  • Prepare reviews, suggest merit increases for your reports on an annual basis
  • Once approved by the Vice President, conduct in person reviews with direct reports

Disciplinary

  • Coordinate with HR to review complaints, offences, or performance issues in the field
  • Determine what disciplinary actions are required conduct disciplinary meetings with Team Member
  • Develop Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) for repeat offenders

Interviews and Onboarding

  • Coordinate with the recruiting team to review candidates
  • Complete interviews as Division needs arise
  • Coordinate with Division Manager to develop offers for potential new hires
  • Assign and schedule new hires for position specific onboarding
  • Conduct position specific training/orientation with newly hired team members

 

What you will need to succeed…

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience is required on electrical systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to communicate in an effective and professional manner with internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to review emails/answer calls periodically on the weekend.
  • Some travel is required. Willingness to travel outside of assigned territory, including overnight stays, as necessary to meet customer requirements.
  • Must live or be willing to move to within a 90-minute drive of service coverage area.
  • Requires a NICET or NETA 4 certification.

 

Preferred experience…

  • Prefer OSHA 30-hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, and CPR/First Aid, company can/will provide the above safety training.
  • Prefer an associate degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Technology or graduated from an accredited 4-year electrical apprenticeship program OR similar experience and training from the Military

The base salary range for this position is $120,000-$150,000 annually. Please note that the compensation range reflects the base pay only and does not include benefits, or bonuses this role may be eligible to receive. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by bona fide factors such as geographic work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
