MKD Electric is seeking an experienced Engineering Division Manager. As part of this role…  

 

As the Engineering Division Manager at Powercor, you will be responsible for leading a team engaged in engineering controls design and electrical engineering studies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes. You will apply your expertise in control systems and electrical engineering to oversee the development of BMS and EPMS engineering designs tailored for Powercor's clients in the data center market as well as other critical industrial markets. Additionally, you will actively engage with external clients to nurture relationships, understand project requirements, and contribute to business expansion initiatives. 

 
What you will do… 

 

  •  Oversee the team engaged in engineering controls design and electrical engineering studies, ensuring high-quality deliverables. 
  • Manage the financial dynamics of the division, including profit/loss analysis, budgeting, and revenue forecasts within the Sales Force platform. 

  • Oversee a proficient team engaged in engineering controls design and electrical engineering studies, ensuring high-quality deliverables. 

  • Apply expertise in control system and electrical engineering to oversee development of BMS and EPMS engineering designs tailored for Powercor's data center and other critical clients. 

  • Actively engage with external clients to nurture relationships, ascertain project requirements, and actively contribute to business expansion initiatives. 

  • Provide continuous evaluation of team performance, offering mentorship, conducting formal performance assessments, and fostering team growth. 

 

What you will need to succeed… 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering preferred  

  • 7+ years experience in Building Services Management, Project Financial management, engineering or related field  

  • Experience building and leading an Industrial Controls Engineering team for Data Center Infrastructure. 

  • Demonstrated expertise and familiarity with PMS and EPMS systems tailored for data centers.  

  • Proven track record in guiding engineering teams to deliver comprehensive designs for BME and EPMS systems specifically designed for data center environments. 

  • High level knowledge of ICS protocols, architectures, and technologies, including SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and HMIs 

  • Strong Software familiarity with SKM, ETAP, Ignition, and AutoCAD 

  • Skillfully coordinating and overseeing the design, engineering, and integration of multiple concurrent, complex solutions, ensuring they adhere to meticulously planned and funded budgets, timelines, and desired features and functionality. 

 

Preferred experience…  

 

 
  • 5+ years of experience in managing personnel, with a focus on overseeing projects for global Industrial Control System teams 

  • 5+ years of involvement in overseeing projects involving cross-functional teams spanning multiple organizations and clients 

  • 3+ years technical experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, controls engineering within Data Center settings

  • Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet. 

  • Requires standing for extended period with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors.
