In 2022 we partnered with Bachelor Controls, Inc (BCI), a Sabetha KS based provider of mission critical control and system integration solutions for Fortune 500 clients, primarily in the food and beverage, pet food and specialty pharmaceutical industries. BCI has been providing control systems integration solutions to manufacturing plants for 40 years, helping clients achieve optimal production efficiency along with cutting-edge production automation.

The BCI team is seeking a best-in-class Senior Controls Engineer, willing to roll up their sleeves and exude a passion for the field!

The purpose of this position is to design and deliver quality controls solutions to our customers, while managing projects of moderate scope or importance so they are on time and within budget.  If you want to be a part of a team that delivers cutting edge solutions to customers in a team-oriented environment, we encourage you to apply. What you'll do...

  • Work independently and as a team to deliver controls solutions
  • Electrical panel design and schematics
  • Design/develop PLC programs
  • Design/develop HMI applications
  • Test/debug hardware and software solutions
  • Checkout control panels
  • Complete projects on time and within budget
  • Perform start-up services at customer facilities
  • Troubleshoot control systems

What you'll need to succeed...

  • BS Degree in Engineering: Electrical, Mechanical, or related, P.E. preferred
  • 5-7 years’ experience with duties as outlined above
  • PLC programming experience: Primarily Rockwell Logix family and/or Siemens or Modicon
  • Experience with using RSView, Wonderware, or Intellution
  • Schematic design experience: wiring, power distribution and loading, panel layouts, P&IDs
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours as required by customers
  • Ability to travel to jobsites
  • Project Management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • SCADA – not required but useful
  • Valid US driver’s License
  • Ability to work in the US without restriction
  • Must pass initial drug screening and background check
