The XS Telecom team is looking for a best-in-class Containment Technician, willing to roll up their sleeves and exude a passion for the field!

What you will do…

• Construct and install data center cage mesh walls within colocation suites
• Install overhead ladder racks and fiber tray systems with proper routing and support per industry standards
• Lead installation of Hot and Cold Aisle Containment (HAC/CAC) systems, including panels, doors, roofs, and sealing for airflow management
• Troubleshoot and resolve containment issues to maintain optimal cooling efficiency
• Develop innovative, custom infrastructure solutions based on unique client needs
• Design and implement non-standard builds while ensuring safety and quality
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
• Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and client expectations
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including as-built records and material usage
• Adhere to data center safety protocols, procedures, and industry best practices
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations
• Work cross-functionally with project managers, engineers, facilities teams, and clients
• Communicate technical details clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Support project success through proactive problem-solving and professional execution 

What you will need to succeed…

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data center infrastructure build-out, with a strong emphasis on colocation environments
• Flexibility to work occasional off-hours or weekends as project demands require
• Proven expertise in the installation of data center cage mesh walls
• Extensive experience with overhead ladder rack and fiber tray installation, including pathway planning and cable management best practices
• Demonstrable expertise in the installation of Hot Aisle Containment (HAC) and Cold Aisle Containment (CAC) systems
• A strong track record of successfully developing and implementing specialized build solutions for complex data center infrastructure challenges
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
• Proficiency with hand and power tools common in data center construction
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively under pressure
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
