As part of this role, the Industrial Electrical Trainer will coach teams in the field and in classroom settings; providing leadership, instruction, and innovative lesson plans that are informative and exciting while promoting on the job safety. Other responsibilities will include performing continuing education, recertifications, developing training programs, measuring training effectiveness, and providing recommendations to further enhance training curriculum. The qualifying candidate must love helping people, be goal-oriented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization. 


What you will do…

  • Plan, implement, and coordinate engaging safety training programs that further enhance work site environments to mitigate safety hazards
  • Measure training effectiveness by evaluating online and written assessments (i.e., surveys, analytics, feedback, etc.)
  • Lead in educating on basic electrical engineering concepts, electric shock hazards and controls, as well as inadvertent activation of equipment
  • Teach and train safety standards, organizational promulgating standards (i.e., the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA-70E), the National Electric Code (NEC), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)  
    • Willing to train or certify where the qualifying candidate does not currently hold one or more of these specialty certifications
  • Use existing training content to deliver training programs through diverse methods (on the job training, classroom workshops, self-study, and web-based delivery)
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on adult learning, and ensure personal knowledge is up to date on effective L&D strategies and concepts
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and provide world class onboarding to new hires

What you will need to succeed…

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience within safety (electrical construction, industrial, and/or maintenance environments)
  • At least 5+ years facilitating safety and electrical training  
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule. This role will include some evening shifts teaching night classes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook applications
  • Ability to help students acquire the knowledge, skills, and competency for the safe operation of powered industrial equipment in both a classroom setting and an industrial environment
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred experience…

  • Military Veteran with training experience is a plus
  • Willingness to obtain NFPA Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) certification
  • Willingness to obtain CPR-AED and First Aid certification

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$105,000 annually. Please note that the compensation range reflects the base pay only and does not include benefits, or bonuses this role may be eligible to receive. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by bona fide factors such as geographic work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
